Hope you all are having a great hump day. I'm over here in "valentines land" that's not a thing but I"m making it one. Working hard on getting some great freebies up for you AND working on decorating my house for the big LOVE day. I'm personally a lover of decorating for all holidays big or small so I enjoy putting up some hearts and fun decor in the middle of the winter slump.
I'm so excited to share with you this adorable pennant banner. I was inspired by a post I saw on #thegram (I'm trendy like that) that had different scrappy pieces of fabric sewn together. Considering the fact that I have a sewing machine and have only attempted one sewing project (that was a giant fail) I figured it'd be easier to do some mismatched patterns in a fun and easy printable banner and get a similar look. The files will come to you as 2 .PDFs that each have 4 pennants. I ended up only using 7 of the pennants rather than 8 because I prefer an odd number. Feel free to mix and match as you please.
As always I can't wait to see how you use my printables. Tag me on social media with #jordansantosdesign so I don't miss it.

Getting married this spring? While I'm sure you have that major theme / ideas established I've gathered up some of my favorite trends that can still be incorporated into your big day. Soft and elegant there is a whole lot to love this year in #trending spring wedding inspiration. Here are my top 5 favorite trends and cute ways you can use them on your big day.
STRAIGHT FROM THE GARDEN
Fresh flowers, beautiful pastels, and soft sunlight... what's not to love about a spring garden? This theme is just asking to be a part of your wedding. Using garden objects as decoration as well as seed packets as party favors are both simple ways to make your wedding a garden visit your guests will never forget. Amp it up by sprinkling your wedding venue with beutiful florals that look like they were effortlessly picked from the lawn.
THE LESS FROSTING THE BETTER (did I just say that?!?)
From one frosting lover to the next I gotta admit that I was a skeptic when this trend first made it's appearance. However the more I've seen it the more I've loved it. Adorned with just the right amount of icing and spring florals naked cakes are perfect for a spring wedding. Amp it up by giving guests their own mini cakes as wedding favors. Decorations you can eat? Sign me up!
FLOWERS FLOWERS EVERYWHERE
I mean it's a wedding... it's spring... lots of flowers are kinda a given right? To really add some wow to your event use flowers in unconvetional ways. Hanging them from the ceiling is a sure way to add a ton of interest as well as softens your space. Another new and intersting way to decorate with flowers is to incorporate them in your monograms or other letters to spell out words such as XOXO as pictured.
DITCH THE WHITE DRESS
Feeling untraditional? There's no simpler way to make a big impact than going with a different color other than white for your dress. While bright colors are fun this is one area where I suggest being very subtle with the color change. LIght hues that are almost white such as blush and champagne make theperfect statement without being too out there.
As a graphic designer it wouldn't be right if I didn't throw in pantones color of the year in here. Have you seen it yet? In case you haven't it's greenery and it's absolutely stunning used in wedding decor. Add some greenery to your table scape as well as your bouquets and you are sure to have an elegant celebration.

It's January 9th and I'm finally blogging for the first time this year... that is pure craziness. I hope you all are having a wonderful start to 2017. There is something about the new year that I just L.O.V.E. Time to relax, refresh, make goals... it all feels so wonderful and fresh.
We spent the weekend painting all the trim in our kitchen/living room white and my house feels like a whole new place. It seriously amazes me how much a small change like some white paint can completely change the feel of a room. It's kinda relative to life thought right? Small changes make all the different.... look at me getting all deep.
We may be 10 days into the month but I didn't want to skip the month all together so here I am late (again) with phone backgrounds. I'm really loving the gray and mint theme and they go well with the fresh and new perspective on the new year. I hope oyu love them as much as I do. :)
