STRAIGHT FROM THE GARDEN
Fresh flowers, beautiful pastels, and soft sunlight... what's not to love about a spring garden? This theme is just asking to be a part of your wedding. Using garden objects as decoration as well as seed packets as party favors are both simple ways to make your wedding a garden visit your guests will never forget. Amp it up by sprinkling your wedding venue with beutiful florals that look like they were effortlessly picked from the lawn.
THE LESS FROSTING THE BETTER (did I just say that?!?)
From one frosting lover to the next I gotta admit that I was a skeptic when this trend first made it's appearance. However the more I've seen it the more I've loved it. Adorned with just the right amount of icing and spring florals naked cakes are perfect for a spring wedding. Amp it up by giving guests their own mini cakes as wedding favors. Decorations you can eat? Sign me up!
FLOWERS FLOWERS EVERYWHERE
I mean it's a wedding... it's spring... lots of flowers are kinda a given right? To really add some wow to your event use flowers in unconvetional ways. Hanging them from the ceiling is a sure way to add a ton of interest as well as softens your space. Another new and intersting way to decorate with flowers is to incorporate them in your monograms or other letters to spell out words such as XOXO as pictured.
DITCH THE WHITE DRESS
Feeling untraditional? There's no simpler way to make a big impact than going with a different color other than white for your dress. While bright colors are fun this is one area where I suggest being very subtle with the color change. LIght hues that are almost white such as blush and champagne make theperfect statement without being too out there.
As a graphic designer it wouldn't be right if I didn't throw in pantones color of the year in here. Have you seen it yet? In case you haven't it's greenery and it's absolutely stunning used in wedding decor. Add some greenery to your table scape as well as your bouquets and you are sure to have an elegant celebration.
